Michael Kors Nail Lacquer: Manicure Monday

If you saw my post last week about the Michael Kors Makeup Range you may have been able to tell I was a little disappointed but remained excited to try the nail polishes.

I feel like the packaging on this is really lovely, it has a nice solid glass bottle and although the lid is plastic I don’t actually mind. However once I started using it I found you remove the gold lid to find an ugly, cheap looking white lid but I guess this usually hidden away so I don’t mind too much.

In the range there are six colours; the three I own plus a pink, red and plumy brown which covers the target markets needs quite well I think but are all a little safe and boring.

I tried Envy (above) and Ebony (below) and I must say I wasn’t wowed by anything. Both colours apply quite well but still requite 2/3 coats, once dry they look beautiful and glossy but do chip quite easily and I got no more wear from them than I would a much cheaper nail polish.

Although I love both colours and would happily use them again I don’t think I would recommend them too highly. They are okay polishes but just aren’t quite as good as I would expect from a Β£15 nail polish. It’s only really a polish I would buy for a friend if they really loved Michael Kors or had their eye on one of their particular colours.

The Nude shade if beautiful! However they'd be easy to mistake for a cheap nail polish without the gold cap.

The nude looks amazing, but I definitely wouldn't pay Β£15 for a nail polish if it chips easily, no matter how much I love the colour. I love your honesty by the way! It's refreshing to see πŸ™‚

I was so in love with the packaging until I realised the gold bit came off .. the white bottle top looks so cheap! The colours are gorgeous but don't seem to be worth the price tag it seems

I love the packaging and think the colours are very pretty but I must agree, the price is pretty steep for the quality! xx

I think the packaging looks beautiful but they are all quite generic colours that other brands do for more affordable prices. They would look great on my dressing table though! Thanks for the honest review. xxx
