I spoke briefly about the Too Faced Natural Eyes palette in my May Favourites (video here) but as I am falling more in love with it every time I use it I think it’s time to dedicated a whole post to it.
Last month I reviewed the Too Faced Chocolate Bar palette which although I like I wouldn’t say I ever fell in love with it. The Natural Eyes Palette however has really got me with it’s perfect mix of matte and shimmers as well as a mixture of light and dark colours but remaining still very wearable and natural.
The palette is a fairly compact tin which I don’t mind and houses 9 eyeshadows, a mirror and a how-to guide. It has four matte shades and 5 shimmers, they also range in size with the three which they see as being the core most important ones being about 3 times bigger. I love this idea as it’s so easy to finish your one favourite eyeshadow shade and be left with the rest less-favourited colours. The shimmer colours are a little more pigmented than the mattes but they all work well on top of an eyeshadow primer. Although they label them Day, Classic and Fashion to imply you should use the three in the row together I personally love mixing and matching depending on my mood and where I am going, sometimes I go for just matte’s and other times add some drama with the darker shades.
I find this palette to be very versatile and a nice size to travel with especially as it has a good size mirror. I’ve already mentally packed this for my Paris weekend away (later this week) and have a suspicion this may also make it into my August holiday’s luggage.
